The Case of Lot
Luke 17:28–30
28Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
Beloved, I return again at this point to say that the Word of God is just — it simply says what it means. If you deceive yourselves into believing that the Almighty Lord will change His word, that is your affair alone. Know at the very least that for nothing in this world will God change His word.
Simply by reading once more this same passage from Luke 17, you realize that the Bible says only what it means. You realize that the same facts that occurred with Noah are repeated again with Lot. The Lord shows us once more that apart from Lot — whom He delivered — the rest of mankind perished under a rain of fire and brimstone that He sent. This is even a picture of what will actually take place in these end times.
2 Peter 3:5–7
5For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men
Understand this: there will be NO redeemed after the Lord has delivered the righteous from His wrath. The teaching of a second round of rapture is purely diabolical; its only purpose is to make careless all those who desire to prepare seriously for the one and only Rapture.
Let us examine Genesis 19:12–25.
Genesis 19:12–25
12And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place: 13For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it. 14And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law. 15And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. 16And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city. 17And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed. 18And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord: 19Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die: 20Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live. 21And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken. 22Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. 23The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar. 24Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; 25And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
Beloved, do not mock God by seeking to call His word into question; do not mock God by thinking He will change even one of His words; do not follow all these sons of perdition who seek to stand against God — do not imitate them, those whose condemnation has been written since long ago. Here again: which of the men, apart from Lot and his family, did you see being redeemed after God's wrath fell upon the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah? The answer is, once again, NOT ONE. Why, then, do you continue to believe in a second round of rapture?
All these doctrines of a secret rapture and of redeemed ones are diabolical — they have no reference whatsoever in the Scriptures. Flee — flee right now — these teachings of Satan. Prepare yourselves accordingly for the one and only Rapture, which is coming very soon.
The Case of the Church No. 1
Biblical Study of Matthew 25:1–12
Verse 1
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
This verse speaks to us of ten virgins, who are none other than a type of the Church. And these ten virgins go forth to meet the Bridegroom, who is Jesus Christ. In other words, these ten virgins — the Church — are committed to the journey of meeting the Lord of glory, Jesus Christ, in the air on the day of His coming.
Verse 2
And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
At this point, the Word specifies that among these ten virgins, five were wise and five were foolish; this defines for us two types or two models of churches and Christians who are preparing to meet Jesus Christ in the air on the day of His return.
Verses 3–4
3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
These verses 3 and 4 draw our attention to the negligence of the foolish virgins — a type of church and of Christians — in their preparation to meet the Lord. This negligence is expressed here by the fact that the foolish virgins took no oil with them, in contrast to the wise — a type of church and of Christians — who prepared themselves accordingly by taking sufficient oil with them. Note already that the foolish virgins, a type of the church and of Christians found in these end times, have no regard whatsoever for the things of the Lord — and in particular for His return. For them, the return of the Lord means nothing; hence they prefer not to take oil to keep their lamps burning.
Verses 5–9
5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
Note at this point that when the trumpet sounds at midnight to go and meet the Bridegroom, the foolish virgins are not ready. In other words, they are not prepared to celebrate the wedding feast with the Bridegroom. Why? Because of their negligence.
Verse 10
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
The significant detail here is that only the wise virgins — those who had prepared themselves accordingly — entered the wedding hall with the Bridegroom. The foolish ones, not being ready, were left outside and attempt in their own way to re-prepare. Note that it is said that the door was shut after the wise entered the wedding hall. Does this not remind you of something? Of course — it recalls Noah when he entered the ark and God shut the door behind him. As you have just read, the foolish virgins did not enter the wedding hall with the Bridegroom — that is, they missed the Rapture — and they remained outside seeking to prepare themselves anew. The question is: did the Lord open the door to receive them after He had celebrated the wedding feast with the wise? In other words, were these foolish virgins subsequently redeemed? Let us find out.
Verses 11–12
11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
You have the answer before you — I make no further comment. Know therefore through this study of Matthew 25 that only the foolish virgins — in their delusion — can expect a second round of rapture after the Lord has taken His true Church up to Himself for the wedding feast. Yes, only the foolish can believe in a second redemption; the wise, for their part, are preparing for the one and only Rapture that will take place. The foolish firmly believe they will be redeemed or saved after the Lord has shut the door of the wedding hall. They tend to make the most of this life, trusting that if they miss the one and only Rapture, they can be redeemed in the second round. On this matter, the Lord is unequivocal. He will tell them He does not know them — even though they were part of His church in the beginning. This is the answer the Lord Jesus Christ will give to all those who miss the Rapture and seek to obtain redemption afterward.
The Case of the Church No. 2
Biblical Study of Luke 13:25–28
Verse 25
When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
Oh beloved! Show me in this text a single person whom the Lord redeems, receives, or saves after He has shut the door — that is, after He has raptured His Church. Once again, know this: if you miss the Rapture, the Lord will NEVER redeem you. As stated in Matthew 25 and in this present passage, on that day the Lord will tell you He does not know you — after you have missed the Rapture.
Verses 26–27
26Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. 27But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
Know this: all the words you will speak, all the repentances you will make, all the justifications you will put forward after missing the Rapture will not cause the Lord to redeem or save you. All those hundreds of millions of repentances you make after missing the Rapture will change nothing; the Lord will not change His word on your account. Also note the name the Lord gives to all those who seek to obtain redemption after the fact: workers of iniquity. The Bible is so clear that I do not know what to add or comment.
Verse 28
There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
Through this verse, you understand that once you miss the one and only Rapture, the only destination left for you is Hell — the place where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth, where the worm never dies and the fire is never quenched. You, therefore, who believe in the follies these ministers of Satan teach you — show me a single passage that contradicts this teaching.
If, then, these teachings of two raptures have no root or foundation in the Bible, where did these false pastors pick this up?
The Origins of the False Doctrine of Two Phases of the Rapture
The doctrines of a rapture before the Great Tribulation, or of two phases of the Rapture, are not recent inventions. They have distant origins; they were injected into the Christian community by the devil as far back as the time of the first Church — that is, the time of the Apostle Paul. Let us speak briefly of the church at Thessalonica. The church — or assembly — of Thessalonica was founded by the Apostle Paul during one of his missionary journeys. The distinguishing mark of the Christians of this church was that they were truly converted to God, having turned from idols (1 Thess. 1:9). As a consequence of their faith in God, they were subjected to many tribulations (1 Thess. 1:6); hence in the first epistle Paul sends them, we see how he encouraged them to persevere through tribulations — for it was to this that they were appointed (1 Thess. 3:3). Another distinguishing mark of these Christians at Thessalonica was that they were very conscious of the return of the Lord and of the Rapture of the Church, as can be observed in 1 Thessalonians chapters 4 and 5, where the Apostle Paul taught them the mysteries of the Rapture.
Because of the many tribulations these Christians were enduring, a kind of confusion and turmoil regarding the return of the Lord and the Rapture of the Church had taken hold among the Thessalonian believers. In other words, several teachings and theories concerning the Rapture of the Church had arisen in the midst of these brethren. There were indeed those who had risen up to teach that the sufferings these brethren were experiencing could only be explained by the fact that they had already missed the Rapture of the Church. For these teachers, if these Christians were living through such tribulations, it was because the Lord had already come — and they had missed the Rapture. Which was not true. Here one can already clearly discern the doctrine of a secret rapture before the tribulations — or, stated plainly, before the Great Tribulation. In consequence of the confusion and turmoil that reigned among these brethren, it was necessary for the Apostle Paul to intervene to resolve the matter. Hence the second epistle of Paul to the Thessalonian brethren. Paul's message and answer regarding the return of the Lord and the Rapture of the Church was unmistakably clear. He told them plainly that the return of the Lord Jesus Christ will not occur without the apostasy and the appearance of the Antichrist — the Antichrist who will trigger the Great Tribulation.
2 Thessalonians 2:1–3
1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
The devil did not stop there. He had not only injected in that era this false doctrine of a secret rapture before the Great Tribulation. Through his sons Hymenaeus and Philetus, he succeeded once again in troubling the assemblies of God by teaching that the resurrection of the dead in Christ — which must take place at the return of Jesus Christ — had already occurred, and therefore so had the Rapture of the Church.
2 Timothy 2:17–18
17And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; 18Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
To ensure the perpetuation of all his false doctrines, Satan the devil used his other sons — who are none other than demons in human flesh — by the names of Francisco Ribera, Manuel de Lacunza, Margaret MacDonald, John Nelson Darby, Cyrus Scofield, and all the rest of those who teach these false doctrines even as the Lord reveals the truth to them.
Francisco Ribera (1537–1591), a Jesuit of his time, promulgated this false doctrine of the secret rapture in his book entitled In Sacrum Beati Ioannis Apocalypsin Commentarij, at the behest of the Catholic Church. This was done in order to put in place a counter-interpretation of the biblical doctrine upheld by the Reformers such as Martin Luther and Calvin — namely, that the Church of Jesus Christ will be on earth during the Great Tribulation. The devil, Satan, the enemy of your souls, did not stop with Ribera. He further injected this deadly venom — this false doctrine — through his son Manuel de Lacunza. Manuel de Lacunza (1731–1801), himself also a Jesuit, championed this false doctrine in his book entitled Venida del Mesías (The Coming of the Messiah). In his book, he launched the theory that Jesus Christ would not return only once but twice; the first time being, in his view, to make the Church escape the reign of the Antichrist.
Margaret MacDonald (1815–1840) was likewise involved; John Nelson Darby, the author of the Darby Bible, was the same. Finally, Cyrus Scofield is the son of the devil who most thoroughly propagated this false doctrine of two phases of the Rapture. Indeed, this Scofield succeeded in integrating all of Darby's false interpretations of the Rapture into the notes of the Bible he published in 1909 under the name of the Scofield Reference Bible. From that point on, these demonic doctrines came to be regarded as forming part of the authentic Word of God.
Let me also warn you that Jesus Christ will not return in the manner portrayed in all those films that Hollywood produces. These films tell you that on the day of the Rapture of the Church, there will be plane crashes and car accidents everywhere in the world — on the pretext that Christian pilots and drivers will be raptured on that day. Others will tell you that on that day, many people on operating tables will die because the Christian surgeons will have been raptured. All of these human imaginings inspired by Satan will never come to pass.
Let me tell you — you who are Christians — what will actually happen on the Day of the Lord. On the Day of the Son of Man, Jesus Christ, you Christians will not be in buses, nor in aeroplanes, nor in shops, nor even in public squares. For in those days you will be fleeing the outrages of the Antichrist — hiding in forests, in mountains, or in houses far from men. In those days, the Antichrist will be hunting down all those known as born-again Christians.
Conclusion
My brother, my sister, if therefore, after having followed this teaching — or all the teachings on the Rapture and the Great Tribulation demonstrating that there will never be a Rapture of the Church before the Great Tribulation — you continue to deceive yourselves into believing that there is a rapture before the Great Tribulation and another one after, know that you are among those described in Revelation 13:8 and Jude 4 — and that your final destination will be the lake of fire burning with brimstone.
May the Lord bless you!
